Here we have a lovely Vintage Simplex LJ23 Front Derailleur. Hailing from the 1960s the mech is designed for double chainring setups and is in very good condition for its years. The mech is fully functioning and all the adjustment bolts turn freely including the cage slider bolt which when untightened allows the cage to slide up and down the shaft and be adjusted to fit. As expected the mech does have some signs of age; some rubbing to the inner side of the cage and some loss/pitting to the chrome on the cage but this doesn’t affect its function. Prior to sale the mech has been cleaned and degreased and is now ready to fit. It would make a great addition to a vintage bike build.
